Being born in Drenthe, I feel at home in Emmen. I know the roads, I am involved in the region and I have many good relationships with clients. The down-to-earth mentality of this province suits me. The personal touch in my work is my enthusiasm, fighting spirit, and persuasion. This can be very useful, as people from Drenthe sometimes need a little push.
I have also assisted entrepreneurs, housing corporations, real estate developers, and healthcare institutions in Groningen. As a curator in bankruptcy, I am business-like, but also enterprising as a lawyer. I think strategically alongside the client, I like to find a practical solution and not only consider the legal aspects. If the client wants to go in a different direction, they will receive honest advice from me. For example, short-term economic gains are not always valuable for the long term.
Ronald mainly focuses on corporate law, contract law, and bankruptcy law. He supports companies with acquisitions, restructurings, and various contract forms. Ronald has also been appointed by the Northern Netherlands court as a curator in bankruptcies in the Southeast Drenthe region. Ronald is an added value for entrepreneurs in making strategic decisions because of his experiences as a lawyer and curator.
After completing his law studies, Ronald completed the following courses: Specialist Course in Insolvency Law Course at the University of Groningen (2010), the INSOLAD / Grotius specialist course in Insolvency Law (2014), the INSOLAD / Grotius specialist course in Financial Economics for Insolvency Lawyers (2016). He is a member of the board of the organisation of the annual cycling competition in Emmen (Golden Arrow), a board member of the Marketing Region Emmen Foundation and initiator of the Emmen New Year's Meeting for Entrepreneurs.
