“Good legal advice starts with truly understanding what matters to the client – and why.”
In corporate law—and particularly in mergers and acquisitions (M&A)—language is crucial. Mastering complex legal issues is essential, but the real added value lies in translating this complexity for the client and offer clear and actionable solutions that are strategically relevant. What truly matters to your client, and why? That’s why it is paramount to understand the financial and strategic drivers at play, and to speak the language of the entrepreneur.
I grew up in the beautiful province of Drenthe in the north of the Netherlands. After completing my law degree, I spent many years working as a lawyer at large international firms in Amsterdam. There, I advised companies and investors on high-stake strategic transactions—often complex in nature, with tight deadlines. Today, I find it particularly rewarding to leverage my personal background and professional experience to bridge different worlds and translate legal complexities where needed: advising regional clients with national or international business interests, as well as clients from outside the region — or beyond the Netherlands — seeking to invest or operate in the northern part of the country.
Jordi advises companies, investors, and management teams on a wide range of corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, minority investments, corporate restructurings, and management incentive schemes. He also regularly advises clients on general corporate matters such as corporate governance and commercial transactions. With a particular interest in the energy transition, Jordi specializes in matters at the intersection of corporate law and public regulation.
